Having used Access4lofts previously to install a new loft hatch as I was moving it out of the bathroom, I know that I could rely on them to do a good job to a high standard. I am planning a heating system change and needed a wider loft hatch and sound flooring for a heavy water tank in the loft. I booked an appointment for Dave to explain what work needed to be done and he arrived promptly and at the agreed time, taking notes and measurements, explaining the work he planned to carry out if I chose to go ahead. This was followed up by a a written quote by email and a breakdown of costs. I was satisfied with the quote and asked him to go ahead with the work and we agreed a suitable date and time. The day before the appointment, I received a text confirming the appointment and offering a phone number to reschedule if I needed to. On the day of the appointment, Dave arrived on time and, having laid down work sheets immediately started on replacing the loft hatch and then laying new loft flooring, cleaning up as he went. Because of the weight bearing requirements of the new loft flooring, Dave explained what he had done to consider these issues which produced a solution to my satisfaction, which probably produced a better outcome than the one given by the structural engineer I had employed to draw up plans. All the work was done to a high standard and looks good, with a lifetime guarantee. I am happy with what has been done and feel I have had good value from using Access4lofts to carry out the work.

Access4Lofts is a very focused franchise ~ they do one thing and they do it well. The range of actual ladders is deliberately few because what they have is entirely suitable for the obvious purpose. Even better, when it comes to actual installation, their team are highly experienced In the task in hand which means they are quick and good at it. In my case, what I wanted was a much bigger "hole" in the ceiling as I intended to get some quite bulky items into my loft. The "surveyor" talked me through the options and explained why I did not need a new ladder because what I had was correct for purpose. (There was no hard sell for an unnecessary "upgrade".) Having agreed the scope of the task, the rest went like well-maintained clockwork. The job was scheduled for a time that suited me and Dave: arrived promptly; checked that the specification was still correct; helped me decide on a small piece of detail (the actual positioning of the ladder); gave an accurate estimate of the time required; and, tidied up afterwards. All in all, it was an excellent evolution from start to finish. I have no problems at all about recommending Access4Lofts as providers of an excellent service.

Being in a new build we were worried about boarding the loft for extra storage, however from the initial contact with Access4Lofts to the final handover I was impressed with the excellent level of care, even explaining how the company and product were validated by NHBC and the product did NOT invalidate the 10 year new home guarantee. Dave was great, He surveyed the loft, noted that the ceiling was sagging a little so suggested putting loft boarding on a floating floor attached to structural joists. He quoted for installing a loft ladder, laying thick insulation throughout the loft, and boarding an agreed area. All went to plan and to budget, and I now have a useable loft space, a pull down ladder and a warmer house, and no mess to clean up.

Old loft boards removed, extra loft installation added, supply and fit new boarding on a loft leg floating floor which sits on the house’s structural joints. Brilliant work from Dave and Tony. It is wonderful that we can now use the whole of our loft space for storage and we do not have to be careful where we tread! You really would not know they were in the house apart from the sound of a saw every now and again. I was pleasantly surprised at how little dust/mess was generated. Work took 2 days, hardly stopped - great work ethic. Real pleasure to have in our home. Also showed real kindness and understanding as there was a credit card issue that took a week to finally rectify. Fabulous finished loft. Cannot praise enough. Very highly recommend. Many thanks.

From the moment he turned up to assess the job and provide a quote I was impressed with Dave, his experience was evident and he was not phased at all by the age of the property with its unusual trusses and joists. His proposals were very sensible and he interpreted my wishes exactly. His quote was very promptly delivered and almost exactly around the figure I had in mind. On the day of the installation he turned up on time and Covid compliant. Over the next five hours he cut a new access hatch and installed a very neat hatch and high quality drop down ladder. 13 square metres of valuable floor space was created in the loft which is a very useful addition to the property. The safe and secure boarding is also illuminated by battery powered LED light. He then cleaned up to a very high standard before giving a very thorough explanation of the operation of the ladder. A genuinely nice worker who I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a similar conversion of their loft space.

Having seen the trader on the Which? Trusted Trader site, with many good reviews, I felt confident I would receive a good standard of service. I requested a quote for a new loft hatch to be installed in the hall (the current one is inconveniently sited in the bathroom), a fixed loft ladder and flooring to be fitted to the majority of the loft. Dave came to the property quickly after I requested a visit to discuss the options available and was promised a quote would be sent by email. The quote arrived that day which laid out the pricing for each element of the work, allowing me to exclude any I didn't wish to go ahead with. Following my acceptance of the quote, a date was agreed when the work could commence, two months on, which suited me well. The day duly arrived and Dave arrived promptly. The work took two days to complete, as was previously estimated. All the work was done to a high standard, a demonstration of how to operate the ladder was given and instructions, invoice and other paperwork given. Once payment for the work was made, Dave made clear that all work was guaranteed for life and the ladder has a 25 year guarantee. Care taken over the way my property was treated, keeping carpets clean from dust and debris, made me feel I had made the right choice of installer.
