Richard and his mate were very polite, professional and hardworking. When the electricity needed to be disconnected I was informed and an explanation as to why this was needed was given and also for how long it would be necessary. Upon completion I was given a full demonstration of how to access the loft from the new hatch using the new installed ladder. Richard also stated that if the ladders needed to be adjusted when I get my new landing flooring he would come back and make the adjustments. Great job!

Richard was quick to respond to the initial request for a quote, and was happy to break this down into multiple options depending on how much coverage I wanted to make it easier for me to understand what worked best for me.

After agreeing to the work, Richard arrived promptly, calling me in advance to discuss potentially bringing it forward to help schedule another customer more easily. I didn’t feel pressured, if anything I was happy to have it done earlier than anticipated.

Richard and his mate were very respectful, explained what order they were going to do things and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. They were done within a few hours, having fully insulated, boarded everywhere but the rafters (as agreed), installed a light, replaced the panelling on the old now covered hatch, filled some existing plaster cracks that were just nearby the new hatch and even removed two water tanks.

They cleaned up as they found it, showed me all the work and how to use the new hatch before leaving.

I would highly recommend Richard to friends and family looking for similar work.

Excellent neat work, with a visually perfect finish, where boards are dovetailed very smoothly together. Underneath these is a full thickness layer of insulation with prior loft contents moved around to accommodate the work and then, neatly, placed in the centre. I cannot fault any of the process nor implementation of the work done.

Having recently had our whole loft boarded, new hatch fitted with aluminium ladder and electric light, I can honestly say we are delighted with the work carried out by Richard and his team. Richard supplied me with 4 quotes and I chose to have existing hatch enlarged, a wooden ladder with rail fitted and partial boarding of loft for storage.
