Pete Coneely is a very good person to deal with, He answers initial contact calls promptly, carries out a detailed survey and sticks to his estimated times and costs.

I have a 1964 bungalow which was extended in the 1980’s and again in 2017 so a hotch-potch of different builders ideas over many decades and an associated build up of cobwebs, roofing dirt and dust, so not exactly an ideal working environment.

When Pete arrived on time to do the work he was very courteous and took the time to make sure we were happy with the surveyed scope of work and made every effort to accommodate the our comments and questions and offered the best solutions to any quirks of the property (and quirks of the customer).

He works quickly and efficiently in a difficult environment and his finished work is comfortingly safe, secure and well finished.

I now have a loft storage area which is easy to access (even with arthritic joints) and is a vast improvement over the random old doors etc that previously led to hot water tanks and “storage” areas in inconvenient places and undoubtedly so much safer to use.

We already had loft access stairs so Pete added a handy balustrade as well as the raised flooring and now for the first time my wife is confidently accessing the loft too.

I can thoroughly recommend Pete for loft flooring and access and consider this as one of my best house improvements and money well spent.

Old loft hatch cover needed replacing and Pete offered advice on how best to do the job, plus new insulation and beading fitted to prevent drafts. He also fitted some additional boarding in the loft. Work was completed on time, at a reasonable price and my home left clean and tidy.

In 2020 Pete installed with ease a loft ladder in our one bedroomed flat with an extremely large loft and we were very pleased with his work. The ladder is standing the test of time and is so useful to enable us to quickly pop up in the loft making use of its space. Having knowledge of Pete’s work/professional manner we decided to ask him to quote to add new insulation to old, part board our loft and install vents. We had for the first time experienced in the previous winter condensation in the loft and knew time to sort it out. Pete’s charges were extremely competitive and we decided to go with him. We had to wait a couple of months due to his work load but it was worth it. He arrived spot on time, got to work straight away and was self contained. During the process he talked through what he was doing and answered all our questions. The job took him two days to complete. We were/are delighted with the results. It was such a big job for us to go through the 30 odd years of loft clutter but we did, all ready for Pete to do his work. Our loft is so neat, in control and clean now. Only really wanted possessions in our loft now in protective plastic boxes. Pete did the job in November 2023 just before a cold snap. We believe we did notice the difference in the warmth of our home right away. Now two months later in January 2024 we can say we have definitely noticed a difference, our flat is warmer and no condensation in the loft. Thank you Pete who we can wholeheartedly recommend.

Pete approached the job of installing doors to not one but two lofts (the house plus the extension). Each access was different in dimensions and clearances. Pete devised differing solutions for each location and both can now be accessed on secure footholds instead of by dangerous and awkward manoeuvring of step ladders. Proper job!
