Having completed some work in the Village Hall earlier as per my previous testimonial, he returned following a competitive tender process, to insulate our loft space. This was not without its challenges owing to the non-weight bearing ceiling so he had to use a temporary scaffold structure that we had installed. He was polite and professional, with good communication on the day of insulation and the lead up to it being completed.

The area David worked on was above the entrance way of our Village Hall. The purpose of the work was to create a safe working environment for other trades people for the extensive modification works underway and to provide some soft good storage. I am extremely satisfied with the standard of work and many of the trades people who have been using the area have been very pleased and surprised with what has been provided and the safety measures incorporated. David gave me excellent advice re troublesome loft hatch (was blowing open in winds and also moths/flies were coming down from loft via loft hatch edges!). He put a new, safer catch on it, extra stoppers and rubber insulation strip. He also insulated a section of the loft that had no insulation. Prior to the work he sent a fully itemized quote which was reasonably priced. Very pleased with his work and advice.

We had a new hatch with a loft ladder, flooring, shelving and insulation topped up. David arrived on the afternoon as stated in order to establish what work was required and to be able to supply a quote. We received the quote in less than 2 hours and agreed for the work to be carried out. We were provided with a two-day installation window, which was agreed. The day before installation we received a text message confirming that the work would be carried out the following day. David removed the old partial loft flooring that had not been installed properly. Once the work was completed, he provided a demonstration of how the new loft hatch and ladder worked and checked that we were both satisfied. David provided floor sheets to protect our carpets, all rubbish was removed from our premises and the work area was tidied and cleaned before he left. He also checked to make sure we were happy with his work. If you want similar work carried out, then Access4lofts should be your first point of call.
